FMP Day 3
Today i began on planning my design development cycle, planning what ill research, my idea generation and what ill experiment. Ive also begun my research into statisticians, beginning with 'Edward Tufte' who is well known for his information graphics. I also helped moving things around the college gallery.
FMP Day 2
Today i dedicated to getting my idea clear in my head, ive researched into several existing calenders and also Edward Tufte who is incredible at information graphics. I also sketches up a few starting ideas to the layout of my 4 pages, each page focusing on 1 quarter of the year (e.g January February and March)

Start of FMP Project
Today, for the first part of my FMP project i have been idea generating in terms of what ill do and and in what way. I settled upon the idea of creating a calender, however, the hard part is creating a calender which will stand out and not be like any old calender. I also want to encorporate another idea into, e.g show last years weather stats or even show fashion which fits the season/weather (black and white with layers for wintenr, summer colours and less layers for summer)

Type Outcome
This is an outcome i made during the type project. I created an illustration of Giambattista Bodoni using his font 'Bodoni Std'. I like this outcome as i have used a large amount of letters at difference opacity's to create the shadows on the image to give abit more depth too the piece as a whole. This isn't my final outcome for the project, however, it has sparked ideas for my outcome e.g using letter forms to create an image.

Indpendent Graphic Design
JK Design
This is the website for JK Designs, a small business run by six graphic designers. I instantly like this website due to the humor they've added to it showing images of them smiling/laughing and including funny facts like how many coffees they go through a day. Their website is nice and simplistic, this makes it easier to navigate through and you aren't attacked with loads of text as soon as you enter the site. It also has a lot of nice photography, this makes the website more interesting to look at.
Lee Mason Design
This website is for Lee Mason Designs. I like the overall layout of the website, the nice use of imagery being the focal point of the website as soon as you enter, it flicks through recent works by the designer. Its also nice simple and easy to you, you can navigate through the site so easily with no issues at all.

H.G Esch
I found H.G Eschs' work through Frieze magazine. His photography ranges from Commissioned work for Films and Interior Architecture to Free works in Mega cities like New York and Singapore.I love the wide variety of photography he does and the fact he hasn't stuck to one specific style of photography.

| Unknown City. This picture is interesting to look at because it makes the huge city looking small and insignificant somehow. With the low fog also smothering |
